March Photo Challenge- Day 5

Something I love.

The 5 greatest loves of my life-
I would be so lost without them! They are my everything!

AND...
Chocolate!!!
Which helps me have patience with the 5 great loves of my life!
Any one who really know me know I love chocolate, always have, always will.
I have a shirt that has a Hersey's bar and underneath it says, 'My first true love'.
A friend of my dad's always said he never say me without chocolate of some kind, and since my eyes are the color of chocolate, he started calling me chocolate drop.

BUT I do love my wonderful family more. They are my true joy.
They are the something I love.

March Photo Challenge- Day 4

Tree
My first thought was, I don't have any trees to take pictures of! Or pretty ones nearby!
Wait, I know!
Nothing cuter than cute kids IN a tree!

Then I remembered this one-
I loved taking pictures at Edens State Garden in Florida!
And they had some beautiful trees!

Day 1 is over...

We made it through day 1 with only a few tears and a little sadness. Once we get back into a routine I think we will be good. It is amazing how something doesn't seem like a big deal, until you are in it and realize it may be harder than you thought. I think that is the Lords way of pushing us to do that which makes us stronger better people. It really hit me hard after I had everyone to bed the night Dustin left. I woke with very puffy eyes and a lingering sadness. But as I pushed through the day, worked on a project- Graces quilt, and went to the store, and did my mom taxi job. And last night I taught the girls how to make one of their favorite dinners- Stuffed pasta shells. All and all it was a great day. I am so thankful I have such wonderful kids. That I really love to be with. I know I am the mom, and a lot older, but I just love hanging out with them. They make me so happy. I should have taken pictures of them making dinner, but I didn't think about it at the time! Sorry.
I do have pictures of Grace's quilt!
She's a bit on the wild side!
It is all tied now, I just need to bind the edges and it is good to go!
More pictures of her whole room to come.

 Elizabeth helping me quilt!

Then she fell asleep on my lap- please ignore the PJ pants!
And she's out! She is such a doll!

My Miche Diaper Bag! I LOVE my Miche!!!

Firsts...

Okay so this first picture isn't a 'first' but it is to cute not to share!
Dustin put her in his sweatshirt to keep her warm while we worked in the garage.
He then asked me if this is what it was like to be pregnant? LOL
Trying our first cereal! I know she is only 3 1/2 months and you are suppose to wait until you are 4 months, but she eats NON-STOP! Jake did the same thing and was so much happier when he started food! And I make plenty of milk! I drown them while they nurse! They are just hungry little things growing fast!!!
She isn't so sure about this yet.
She still tries it even tho she is still unsure!

I love these little 'firsts'! They are so fun!

March Photo A Day Challenge- Day 2

Water
I took this last week while we were on a hike. It is right below a frozen waterfall. I took several.

I may print these and put them in a bathroom. I love the frozen water with the water running underneath.
Beautiful.

And it Begins...

Today was our last day with Dustin for a while. We kept the kids home so they could spend time with him. It was nice being together as a family.

Oh, Bekah lost her first tooth!
Jake also lost a tooth, in the same spot, or close to it, as Bekah!
 What a great big brother!
 Bowling on the Wii together
The start of our long/short night.
It came way to fast, and went by too fast.
 My good looking solider!

 Daddy & Bekah
Dustin's Unit, or part of it, in formation. Dustin is in the back, about 4 heads in from the left.
 And the tears begin.

It is so hard for all of us. We love our family and each other very much. Dustin is an amazing father and husband. The kids are old enough to understand, except Elizabeth, and not understand at the same time.

Jacob understands, a lot more than I would like at times. He has had a rough week. He did okay for the most part, until we got home and the girls went to bed. Then he broke down. He and his dad are such good friends . They really enjoy being together and are so close. I know this will be so hard on him.

Grace understands what is going on, but not completely why he has to go. I think most of it is she doesn't want him to be gone. She is a daddy's girl. She loves being with him and thinks he is the coolest, smartest person ever. She was the first to break down. She is such a sensitive girl. She is really going to miss him.

Bekah, sweet Bekah. She knows he is going to be gone a while, but doesn't understand more than that. She had such a hard time. She just wanted her daddy. She is the biggest Daddy's girl ever. If daddy likes it, so does she. If daddy likes to do it, so does she. She would follow him anywhere. She is a sweet, sensitive girl who loves her Daddy! As both my girls do, and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Elizabeth is so little that she had no clue what was going on. And I am thankful for that. When he gets home she will get to know him and love him just as her sisters and brother do. I just wish he didn't have to miss so much of her growing and learning!

I have been able to keep it together for the most part. A few tears today. And of course tonight was hard. I am such a bawl baby anyway! Having done this before, I know what to expect and most importantly I know we can do this. Dustin is my world. And I will miss him dearly. But even tho he will be half way around the world, I know he is still with me. We are so close that distance makes no difference. He is my best friend, my other half, and soul mate. He is my eternal companion. For this I am eternally thankful. I have the knowledge that no matter what we will be together. I know that we will write, message, talk and email as much as possible. The hardest part of tonight, and the coming months, is the children. My heart aches for them.

So we have ended the beginning.
It has been a very long, tearful night. I am glad it is past and we can start the count down to being back together again as a family.

March Photo A Day Challenge- Day 1

Something that makes me smile!
How someone can see a beautiful little baby's big smile and not smile, I will never know!
Especially this cute baby!!!
Elizabeth Zoe, along with my other beautiful children, bring many smiles to my face every day!
